Who actually issues the card
We don't. The Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) does. Michigan's medical marijuana program is administered by the Cannabis Regulatory Agency, which took over the functions previously handled under LARA. The state — not this clinic — issues the registry card and sets its own processing times. If the physician certifies you, we file the certification on your behalf — but we can't promise a date, and nobody who tells you otherwise can either.

Will a registry card protect my job?
No, and anyone telling you otherwise is wrong. Michigan's program provides certain protections under state law. It does not require an employer to accommodate cannabis use, and it has no effect on federal rules such as DOT testing. Speak to your union rep or an employment lawyer about your specific role.
I'm subject to random drug testing at work. Should I register?
That's a decision only you can make, and it's worth taking employment advice first. The physician can tell you whether you meet the clinical criteria; they can't tell you what your employer will do.
